Sheila, Anna and Rachel met at Braywick Nurseries, Ben was our task giver this morning. Three trolleys of donated pots and planters, plastic, ceramic you name it, awaited us. Our task was to sort through everything throw away anything broken, give them a bit of a clean and price them up for sale. Our first challenge was cleaning as there was no hot water or even any running water.....the pipes were frozen solid!!!! Anna came to the rescue and popped over to the local restaurant and came back with watering cans of the stuff ....now we were in action....once clean and nearly sparkling we had to price things up, slightly hit and miss but we got there in the end.....we were ready for business. The morning sped by and after a few crys of cold hands and feet we called it a day. Fingers crossed for a good sales report.

We are a small garden garden centre providing volunteering, work experience and employment for adults with support needs

We run a not-for-profit company, supported by paid staff & community volunteers to provide volunteering, work experience and employment for adults with a wide range of support needs. We are currently having a big clear out across our site, and need help moving all of the material to a skip. This will enable us to better use the space we have to expand our operations and better support our volunteers and staff.
