Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Brahma Pochee
Another sunny, balmy Wednesday rolled up, spot on conditions for a bit outdoor exercise - let's truly milk these summer months dry - because come November there's a different satisfactory grit to GoodGym. We had the pleasure of meeting Hilary who came for her first run, woop! Bringing numbers to a decent 15. We've had 2 record attendances both at 19 people - the 20 barrier is surely asking to be smashed?!
We had a natter in the Aquatics Centre, then our ritual paired warm up and onto a quick chat. We all bowed at Alice's extraordinary solo cycle, she went the length of Great Britain, a very respectable 977 miles - love the adventure, the get up and go. A few random questions later, "if you could have any trainer in the world who would it be?" Didn't quite expect 2 votes for Graham - instigated by Neville - but maybe I was naive....?A few others to mention Arnie, The Rock, Snoop Dogg and Jay Z.
We the whipped over to Portway Primary School, laying wood chip over a newly installed garden - all for the kids to learn about growing. 3 massive bags done in about 20mins, Cassie the gardener there seemed almost startled with the speed you guys went at it. A sense if relief was heard in her tones.
We then pegged it on home, with a "100 lunge classic" to finish off our fitness needs. You guys smashed it!
Looks like parkrun Mile End this Saturday - get down and share some speedy miles with the team, then enjoy a breakfast bigger than you need. Win.
Have a great week and catch you all sooooon
