Goodgym Woking News:

  • A big well done to Rebecca and James who took part in the Weybridge 10k on a glorious Sunday morning, both clocking up great times. James certainly looked the part with his new pro running shorts and shades.
  • Good luck to Holly who is competing in the European OCR Championships in Poland this weekend, taking part in the team events and as well as individual race, she certainly been training hard for it.
  • Myself, James, Leo, Mark, and Anne, will be taking part in the Martian Race this Sunday, I will be doing the 10k while James, Anne, and Mark will be doing the 21k, and looking at the weather it’s going to be a hot one.
  • Don’t forget on the 3rd of July, we are having GG with a twist... heading over to Shalford in Guildford for the Hard as Snails event - please sign up if you can, there is a 5km, or 15km available. It would be great to get as many of us there, if you don't want to race then come along to cheer and to hand out some flyers.

Last Night At Goodgym:

Last night we headed back to Millbrook RSPCA centre, where we met Sue, we were given the task after weeding the dog agility area. Before we started we did a 1k loop around the fields and wetlands within the grounds of the centre to get the legs warmed up.

Once back to the agility area we got tools and bags out of the shed and got stuck into it. We split up in two teams with one doing the outside perimeter while the others did the inside. We managed to do two sides of the perimeter it was tough work.

As the sun started to set, we returned the tools back to the shed and headed back to the fields to do another 1k loop, this time we were joined by the ponies who sprinted with us for a short distance. With the team get competitive they did a sprint finish at the end it was very close between Sally-Anne and Adam.

A Job well done.

Next week GG with a deference …. Hard As Snails.
