Barrel of laughs
9 GoodGymers made their way 5.1km to help the Canbury Community Garden in Kingston upon Thames.

This week's run took us through the lively town centre of Kingston where everyone seemed to be out enjoying the summer evening sunshine. Once we hit the river we ran along the bank to Canbury Community Gardens to meet up with Marilyn.
The hot weather had resulted in some rather empty water butts so she soon set us to work watering the plants (fruit and veg but not the flowers) and refilling the water butts. With the aid of a wheelbarrow, some buckets and some creative teamwork, half of them were soon full.
With so many of us, there was the opportunity to divide and conquer as well as rotate tasks. We managed to level a new location for chest for the toddlers' play things and then move it and it's contents. We also rotated one compost pile and sifted another.
After a solid workout we waved goodbye to Marilyn and the chickens and headed to the pub for the social via a potential new task location.... keep tuned for more details in the near future! Congratulations to Petra who achieved her 50th good deed today!
