This was a lovely, relaxed mission on a drizzly Saturday morning to tidy up Mr and Ms T's pretty garden while she recuperates in the hospital. It was great to do a second mission with Dave and to meet Roz for the first time.

Upon arriving, we set about weeding and pruning, having great fun taking turns on the ladder to reach the highest parts of the hedges for the most aesthetically-pleasing result. Roz tackled weeds down a side lane initially while Dave and I gained confidence with the ladder on a lovely but overgrown tree. Mr T really kindly brought out some tea and biscuits for us to keep us going, and to supervise our treatment of his beautiful garden. Eventually, we all converged to clear up all the cuttings, rake some leaves and hear some great stories about Roz's distinguished past as an ultra-marathon runner.

We were kept company by a friendly and curious robin who, according to Mr T, frequently visits the couple and is a permanent fixture of the garden. He struck some dynamic poses while I unleashed my inner wildlife photographer, and was generally a cheery presence.

We left the garden a lot tidier than we found it, and hopefully, this will give Mr and Ms T some peace of mind over the winter.

Overall, a job well done!
