Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
6 GoodGymers attended the first of TEN hill training sessions in Crouch End!
We met a Finsbury Park Track at 7pm and discussed everything from upcoming races to the hills to come.
After a nice 1 mile warm up we arrived at our designated hill for the evening, it's a short hill of around 150 metres. Camden Trainer Paul Bown explained the importance of technique when running up hill, we practised ALP before tackling the hills:
A for Arms - use them to power up the hill & don't let them go across your body
L for Legs - lift your legs higher when running hill
P for Posture - keep your back straight & your head tall
Everyone did really well, running either 7 or 8 times up the hill at a quick pace going up and a slow recovery going down. I've start to keep a record on this google sheet
Well done everyone, see you next Tuesday at Finsbury Park Track at 7pm but for long hill reps this time.

AIC's cold weather shelter helps 16 Londoners each and every week - you'll be making sure things are ready and inviting for the evening's guests :)
