Two hardy GoodGymers braved the cold this morning for the Massey Ferguson RC Pace Race. The rules were simple: 3.55 miles with no mile markers and no trackers, watches or phone apps allowed. The aim was to hit your predicted time spot on. The closest to their predicted time would be the winner.

With Allan choosing an ambitious 32 minutes and Victoria a more realistic 38 minutes the race began. Both runners opted to latch onto other groups for moral support for the two laps around the Memorial Park, crossing the line without a clue how they'd got on.

After a short wait it was announced that the runners up for both male and female categories came home within 7 seconds of their predicted times, the female winner within 5 seconds and the male winner within 2 seconds. Later on the full results were announced with Allan coming in at 31:44 (16 seconds off his predicted time and 8th place overall) and Vic at 34:39 (nearly three and a half minutes faster than her prediction).

Full results can be found here: https://masseyrunners.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/MFRC-Pace-Race-2019-v1.0.pdf

Thanks to Massey Ferguson RC for hosting a fantastic race!
