The mission was very local to both of us so we of course turned up on time without motorised transport. We were met at the door by the recipient’s OT. It was a little surprising to see the recipient still in the bed, thankfully we were not expected to move the bed recipient and all as the OT swiftly and efficiently assisted her move to the next room. We put on gloves and set about the job in hand. Turns out Linda’s pre-charging of her trusty old electronic screwdriver was unnecessary, all that was required was the correct sized Allen Key which we also had to hand. A few screws removed and the bed parts were easily moved out of the way ready for the hospital bed to be delivered. All in all we were done in about 25 mins which was just as well as the new bed was due to arrive just 30 mins later.
