27 runners ran 6k to carry wood through swarms of bees.

Twenty seven of us set off to Myatt's Field in the glorious evening sun finding those who are doing the Hackney half marathon this weekend and giving them our support. We met Guy at Myatt's Field and after our briefing got stuck in to a huge pile of varying sized woods.

With only a splinter and minor bee-in-the-hair incident to report, we moved a massive shelf and sorted all the wood. Job well done, Ivo set us in a line and we counted our steps as we jogged to a fence then repeated at 70% counting again and noticing the difference then finally trying to take more steps but give just as much effort.

We split in to three groups, two to run the 4km back and four who came straight back with those on the bikes. Thoroughly enjoyable run and a massive good luck to all those taking part on Sunday. Ruth Sturdy
