We had an amazing morning coming straight from the opening of Leazes Park park run to Nunsmoor Park for our regular monthly weekend mission.

Six runners came to help out at the Park. Andrew, Louise, Maddy, Katy and I were clearing a section of nettles, brambles and other generally painful shrubberies, whilst Paul was designated tall person to trim back a hedge in another area. An extra shoutout goes to Louise who found a bee hiding while we were digging and rescued it!

Upon digging and cutting away plants we returned to the standard cup of tea and biscuits

Regular food and growing activities, rooms for hire and much more

The Bike Garden is a vibrant community space developed on the site of a previous bowling green in Nuns Moor Park, which now serves the community as a place to join in on regular food growing activities, place to hire for private and public events, that may be regular or one-offs, and much more
