It was a good thing Mr K's daughter, Ms F, was on site today to not only direct the various bits of furniture shifting, but also to lend a hand (and much needed humour) when required...and we did have a few of those moments.

Starting with the big stuff, Mr K's bed frame needed to be shifted - once the mattress was off it was easy enough to turn on its side, and two quick bolt undoings later, we discovered the bed could bend and fold (but not fully separate) in quite a useful manner, as we were then able to navigate it successfully around the various tight corners in his flat, out of the front door and to the bin area for collection.

Having then shifted a sewing machine, shoe rack (plus shoes), three suitcases, a dresser, much bedding and a bedside cabinet later, we had Mr K's bedroom looking twice the size of when we first went in.

I left Ms F to do some tidying up in preparation for Mr K's return home - and to contact the council to try and get his heating (!) turned down...which had at least dried me out after today's much needed lunchtime deluge.
