Two Coventry Goodgymers cycled 8 miles to help provide food for members of the social supermarket.

A trip to the wholesalers had been required to top-up this week's delivery from Fair Share, so Nigel got straight to work unloading the produce and bringing it in before carrying out a stock check. He then had flashbacks from his old job at Sainsbury's when he was tasked with stacking the shelves.

Katherine assisted with carrying bags up from the back room, topping them up with cold food and items from the members' preference list before passing them on to be distributed to members. What seemed initially to be a large number of bags soon disappeared, with members still arriving for their shopping. Some speedy work was required to prepare more bags of food ready for the waiting members.

Once the supermarket shut its service for today, more bags were prepared for tomorrow's opening times and home deliveries.

A great time was had by all, but unfortunately the heavens opened in true GoodGym style just in time for the cycle home, resulting in soggy bottoms that Mary Berry would be proud of!
