On this sunny Saturday morning I popped out to get some much-needed provisions for Ms R and her father, who are both at high risk of Covid-19 and have been self-isolating for several weeks already.

The mission began with me stopping by Ms R's flat to collect the list, some reusable bags and a trolley, which I was very grateful for as it turned out! Before I set out on the shopping trip I'd been worried about availability of certain items and substitutions, but as it turned out I had nothing to fear! Ms R had written me the most wonderfully specific shopping list, complete with individual prices, acceptable substitutions and even pictures! This was super helpful and really put me at ease with the situation of doing someone else's shopping with their money.

I arrived at Sainsbury's, joined the longest queue I've ever seen (but what is a queue if not an opportunity for pun-research?!), and after gradually snaking my way around the edge of the carpark I was able to enter the store and crack on with the shopping.

Once inside I was able to grab everything on the list fairly quickly with minimal substitutions, load up the trolley and head back to Ms R, who was extremely grateful. We had a nice chat (whilst maintaining acceptable distance!) and then I was on my way, feeling grateful to have donned my GG t-shirt once again and do something useful!
