What better way to spend some time on a Sunday than going for a plog and hanging out with friends!? Not many I don't think.
6 of us got together to tackle a problem are in Kings Park this afternoon. This is the park directly next to the Vitality Stadium, a place frequented by dog walkers, grassroots football teams for training, and lots of the general public.
For the most part it fairly litter free, especially the grass playing areas. However, the paths and walkways need some extra help...so to the rescue we came!
With gloves and bin bags ready, the gang scoured the paths, Laura getting stuck into the bushes and leaving no ma....cans behind, showing great determination. Marianne put her life at risk and took one for the team, with a dodgy back she still braved getting down low to collect all sorts. With a little healthy competition kicked off we had soon filled the bags and left the park looking great again.
On our walk back we did spot some more problem areas....so we'll have to go back again another time! With a lot more bags and GoodGymers!!!!
Keep an eye out for more weekend missions in January as we aim to do a lot more good!
Great work everyone!! See you soon!
