What's the best thing to do early on a damp, cold Saturday morning? Roll over and pull the duvet in tight I hear you say? Not us GoodGymers!! We got up, donned our running gear and headed across Liverpool for the beauty that is Crosby parkrun!
Running on sand is never easy but the views across the sea to Wales make up for it and it's great training! Plus you get to run amongst the Anthony Gormley Another Place installation (otherwise know as the Iron Men!) And if you look carefully at the Crosby parkrun volunteer credits you will see Bing Crosby there, the most faithful of volunteers, there each and every week marking the turn around point on the beach (I'll give you a clue, he's made of Iron and looks remarkably like Mr Gormley!)
Shout out to John for joining the volunteer team this week and a fabulous nautical themed addition to the warm up from Jo And thanks to the Crosby parkun team for their warm welcome and fabulous cakes!!
November's GoodGym Does parkrun session is at Croxteth Hall on the 6th. Runners and Walkers welcome!
