A heavy job to lighten the path!
1 GoodGymer made their way to help their local community in Barnet.

I joined a working party for The Darlands Conservation Trust. Our task today was to cut back the trees and shrubs - particularly the dense black hawthorn that was crowding the path. By allowing more light onto the path we would encourage other species and provide better access to the nature reserve. We stopped for the traditional tea and biscuits before finishing mid afternoon. A couple of us went for a coffee at the nearby orange tree pub after.
