Blame it on the river Lea
8 GoodGymers made their way 5.2km in a race in Haringey.
- Sunday, 29th of May 2016
6 do gooders took to the streets in search of litter along the River Lea then ran 5k to the RiverFest at the Lordship Rec.
We met at the corner of Ferry Lane and Mill Mead Road. The aim was to pick up as much as possible in one hour. The team did a smashing job and cleared 6 bags of waste from along the River Lea - great job y'all.
We then set off in our 5k run to the RiverFest at the Lordship Rec where the festivities where in full swing. Huge shouts out to Martha who ran here first ever 5k. Keep on keeping on Martha.. Your running is coming along just fine.
Once at the festival it was all fun and games. The sun even made a late appearance too.
Until next time folks - do good, stay fit and look out for the light.
