Gillian, Rachel and Sheila turned up to help at the Baby Bank. Before Rebecca had even started to explain our task for the day, car load after car load of donations turned up, so we helped to carry those in. That was on top of a huge Amazon order - they had put out an appeal on social media for blankets and hot water bottles, which had had a huge response from the public. Sheila spent time unpacking 90 hot water bottles and a similar number of blankets with another volunteer, generating a huge amount of packaging , all of which had to be disposed of . Meawhile, Gillian and Rachel retreated to the relative quiet of the upstairs, and did some valuable clothes-sorting. Another worthwhile morning at the Baby Bank
