Blood, sweat, tears and sabotage (but a lovely time was had by all!)

Another Eaton Park Junior ParkRun, with a health turn out of 125 runners. Early drama when one of the younger runners took a tumble and needed plasters for a cut knee and hand. Having helped with that, I then sprinted back to the finish line to do my timekeeping with another volunteer. All went smoothly until one runner, a few minutes after having gone through the finish funnel, decided to do so again, with one of us disregarding him and the other counting it as a new finish time - cue our timings going out of sync! The youngster then decided to leave the way he'd came, causing a temporary pile up of runners trying to cross the finish line. High drama, by the standards of this wholesome kids' events :-)
