On a bright, beautiful morning, with nothing but blue skies above, and an open road ahead, it was perfect conditions to just enjoy the peace and tranquility...and to think.

As GoodGymers, we get a lot of pleasure and satisfaction from helping others. What I have also found, is that the time between tasks is also enjoyable and valuable. A huge positive since joining GoodGym, is the time that I have spent walking, running or cycling to and from a task. This is when I do most of my thinking, both practical and creative, and it is when I come up with plans and solutions.

It is also a time for me to think about how fortunate I am, and to count my blessings. So many of the people we visit, and help, are in the most difficult of situations.

Mr M is one of the more fortunate people who benefits from our support. He has been living on his own for some time, but has family who, prior to lockdown, were able to visit and support him.

He also drives his own car, so is quite independent. Having to self isolate has been difficult for him, but he realises that it is a necessity, so accepts the restrictions placed upon him. He maintains a positive outlook, and is very grateful that we are able to support him with his essential shopping.
