Catton parkun by Elizabeth

As pooh bear would say It was a blustery day in 100 acre wood. Catton parkrun #335, certainly was very blustery, 385 people would agree with me. 32 first timers including 22 tourists blew round not necessarily wind assisted although 32 people gained a PB, extra well done it was very tough out there. our Goodgym family were running in force to celebrate Emily R 50th parkrun. Brad and Fletcher had brought her a balloon but before the start it blew away 🙈🎈after the run having cake to celebrate we "borrowed" some as a back drop for our photo. today i was barcode scanner, Darren was on cone duty at the top of the hill, Bobby was on the field on the two lap corner. Another good deed done, well done everyone.

Norwich 500th parkrun by Hayley

This mornings parkrun at Norwich marked 500th events! Starting in 2010 we have had a decade of hosting parkrun in Eaton park every Saturday morning. Becoming increasingly popular for a flat fast course and huge Christmas day turnouts!

Today saw the trial of our new funnel system (basically we turn right onto the field to extend the funnel!) This will be great when we have larger numbers. Participants came today wearing blue to represent the parkrun 500 t-shirt.

Thank you to all you Goodgymmers who have:

  • participated at Norwich parkrun
  • volunteered at Norwich parkrun
  • been on a Goodgym mission to tidy/litter pick/ garden at the park

Thank you all. ❤
