A volunteer session at City Warehouse in Acton was spent in the dry food warehouse at number 28 , preparing dozens of mixed ‘breakfast boxes‘ and trying to find Innovative ways to package up NATO food rations to make them look more appealing. Whilst the breakfast boxes were obviously full of quality food from recognisable brands, the brown sachets of army rations are proving more difficult to redistribute as the unappealing packaging belies the good food within. So today, poppadoms, rice and tins of Polish soup were boxed up with curry spices and NATO chicken meals to create ‘Curry Night’ boxes.
