Extra Extra : Double figures!! A mighty ten peckham showed out as winners. We came and ran and said good riddens, to the weekly mayhem and stresses we had hidden. And as they say, come what may, we gave plenty back to Southwark, on a beautifully sunny day!

Oh hellooooo sunshine!!!! Pow Pow all the way. How could the good vibes not have been flowing when the London weather was so glowing!

In the mix, for their Goodgym fix, were familiar faces, ready to run paces. Joining them all merry, was our newbie named Sally and back for a second week - Kimon, yay what a treat!!

So with all the joy of summer in the air, we turned on our heels and ran with flair. All the way up the mighty hill, to Grove Park allotments to get our fill, of volunteering tasks, 'what's on offer' we did ask? Ohhh plenty of work said our hosts and did we mention... lots of dirt!

They weren't kidding, a mountain of wood chippings, to be wheeled and emptied onto patches a plenty. And so with the wheeling, we got to dealing, along with the demolition of a mountain of old trees, branches and leaves. Which by the way, needed chucking over fences, into the woods and old tree heaven.

Although the task was huge and the debris could be difficult to move, panic we didn't as time was worth spending. And to nail the task, of us they did ask, we got really stuck in, to complete, for a proper win. So in order to please, we rolled up our sleeves, to perform our best, succeed and impress.

We lifted and threw and got grazed and battered. Scratching our legs on the thistles and branches. Even Lianne our resident Wonder Woman lifter, couldn't be seen moving any quicker. But wait that wasn't to prove her worth as best helper, that was to run away from a giant spider!! But all credit due, she new what to do and before long was back on the branches attack!!

Once again to our dissapointment, all time was spent and the crew had to say goodbye to our hosts for the night! But not before we checked out the honey hives, they were the bees knees.... until the raspberries arrived!!! Secret scoffing done which was plenty of fun, it was time to roll out and speed back home for the night.

What a wonderful evening filled with sweaty fun, tasking and playing and fitness for everyone! I couldn't begin to tell you more, how awesome this rabble of Goodgymers are. Kind and thoughtful and hardworking to boot, always smiling and laughing and having a hoot!

But through all of the jovial fun of the night, the tasks were completed, as we left no brambles in sight!

So see you again next week I do hope. For some more adventures from the Southwark Folks!
