25 Bristol GoodGymers ran to Horfield Common to help the Friends of Horfield Common shift a whole load of branches and brambles so that they can plant hundreds of trees.
Yet again GoodGym blew away the week's nasty weather. The sun shone and the temperature was up a few degrees, making perfect weather for a run.
We met at Roll for the Soul at 11am and then after a quick introduction set off up Gloucester Road, stopping in the Bearpit to warm up on the way. We had loads of new people for this week's run, including our first ever goodgym dog! Everyone did great on what was a tough run, longer than we've done in a little while and up hill nearly all the way there!
This week's task was to help clear loads of brambles and branches from the edge of the playing field so that the council could take them all away. Everyone got stuck in and we got loads done, finishing the task just in time.Gary (and his plank!) did a great job sorting out the pile so that it would all fit.
With the job done we set off back down Gloucester Road and to Roll for the Soul. Nice work everyone!
