Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Will Dalrymple
A small but enthusiastic Good Gym delegation returned to the woodland area to help the Friends of Danson Park spread chippings over some muddy paths. These branch off of the central woodland path, whose chipping cover was completed a few weeks ago by Friends with help from another Good Gym mission.
The work was in preparation for hosting free family activities in the area during a big nature day in the park planned for Sunday 8 May.
With some friends from Friends, we decimated a couple of chippings piles with help from fork and shovel; barrowing was an added bonus. Afterwards, tea, in the presence of biscuits, was gratefully received in the stables restaurant.
Volunteers working to enhance and increase the Danson Park's environmental and ecological sustainability, and support other groups working within the Park and Danson House.
