Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
The silver lining of an uncomfortably sticky day is a gorgeous warm Mediterranean-esque evening. The dream team of 8 assembled in The Aquatics Centre. Jen's third run on the trot, respect. Siobhan's fifth I think, solid. Plus Violeta's first, BOOM.
We did a small reconnaissance jog detour to our task. Sussing out the eatery i booked for dinner (one of two). Cracking canal side spot. Everyone had a look and held their opinions till a casual vote later...
A jog and a skip through the Olympic Park, with some quite breathtaking sunset colours saturating the evening sky. We had no time to sit and absorb, we had good to do.
Three tasks were on the agenda at Mobile Garden City. All with goal of making it tip top for its imminent Harvest Festival. Watering plants, weeding and clearing. 20mins we had, of fast furious work.
Amidst this graft, I posed the question of what restaurant people cared for. 2 options I gave. None was chosen, instead a completely new place was thrown into the mix - Breakfast Club. A bloody good choice, you guys are MAVERICKS.
As almost routine now, we had some vegetable and salad goodies left by the awesome Gabby. The seasonal menu offered yellow courgettes, beetroots, salady stuff, some beans and rhubarb (which i mistook for celery, woops).
A jog back to base, collect our belongings and then out for dinner and drinks. Breakfast Club was pretty damn cool, good grub, 2 4 1 on drinks (amazing), a beautiful setting and a waitress who loves running. Win.
I'll see you beautiful people next week, bring some energy as we're going to hit it hard. Circuits will occur!
Until then
