Report written by Paul Bown
21 GoodGymers ran between 5-11km to help St Joans House & Abbey Community Centre
Welcome to Drew and Matthew, whose first time it was at GoodGym. Great to have you along!
It was a sweaty sea of red around Camden borough doing good for our local community. We had two wonderful tasks.
Abbey Community Centre:
The legend that is Becky Greenwood led a group of seven to help spread the word about the new Community Cafe that's opened at the Centre, delivering over 300 leaflets and running a total of 11km - corrrrr that's a goooood workout.
Primrose Hill sweaty sweat
We've made a real impact in the Abbey Community Centre's locals, getting more people involved in the amazing projects they do for both old and young persons, plus of course spreading the word about the garden and cafe. Nice work everyone!
St Joan's House (new task):
A group of thirteen of us headed to St Joan's House, which is part of Origin Housing, in Somers Town to help Shanta and the other residents with some gardening projects. After a 1km loop around the area we got on with the physical work, including:
Olympic Flag Talk
After 45 minutes of tasking we were done and had made a huge difference! Shanta called us Angels! We headed to the canal and enjoyed a lovely 4km run in the sunset - beautiful.
Next week we are off to Antrim Allotments to help with various gardening projects for the residents. Sign up here.
PB out.

AIC's cold weather shelter helps 16 Londoners each and every week - you'll be making sure things are ready and inviting for the evening's guests :)
