Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Leo
I was met at Ms P's door by her son, who was also self-isolating, and he was very well prepared with a short list of essentials, a £20 note and a helpful set of directions to their desired shops. Emphasis on the plural because he didn't think I'd be able to get everything from a single place. He was most accommodating with respect to replacements; brands and quantities which was helpful as I wasn't all that confident at finding some "squeezy handsoaps" given the noticeable scarcity of them on recent trips.
The shops were just around the corner so after a quick queue I was inside Co-op and rounding up some of the items quickly, whilst establishing that the latter half of the list would require another store or two. Very fortunately the next place I picked (a small corner shop) had the remainder of the items I needed and I was able to return back to Ms P's son feeling particularly accomplished, particularly given how swift the whole mission had been.
After a quick chat and a thanks, I set off into the gentle breeze jogging home via a couple of the usual Tower Hamlet's GoodGym task locations to obtain a suitable entry for our training challenge this week: Give a task a wave challenge
