Three Goodgymmers, Caprice, Keith and Lea turned up at TOSH to help Melinda in their community garden. In two ticks of a lamb’s tail (well, maybe more like ten ticks) Keith and Lea assembled a nice bench made from recycled plastic. Keith then set out to position the bench, digging in bricks to rest it on and screwing stakes onto the bench to make it safe and secure. And was it safe? Well, it held all three of us quite nicely when it was done! In the meantime Caprice and Lea filled and wheeled wheelbarrows full of sand, then gravel to the central bit of the garden, after which the brickwork started. Caprice was wheeling more sand and gravel and choosing the right bricks with Lea gleefully whacking them down in the right spot with a mallet. Going by some of the rather overly enthusiastic whacks, she may have been thinking of a particularly obnoxious neighbour. Caprice skilfully handled the spirit level to make sure she was going the right way though! Another brilliant job done well by Goodgymmers. A grateful Melinda is looking forward to our next visit there.
