Oh how we love to have new people join us and tonight we were spoilt rotten with 3 fabulous new runners. We welcomed Maureen for her first Goodgym experience and Nipun & Rosie who had both previously run with Goodgym up north (London!)
In tonight’s news it was the very last call for runners for Wednesday’s Weakest Link and it worked a treat as we now have at least 7 Goodymers attending this great fun evening. Still room for one more, tempted? Then let Helena know you’ll be coming here.
For tonight’s task we put ourselves in the hands of Cllr David Gibson who set us to work continuing the mammoth job of tidying up the bit of ground at the bottom of Elm Grove. Laura concentrated on litter, and everyone else got to work on pulling up bindweed, clearing overhanging vegetation from the pathway and chopping back a rather triffid like laurel bush to reveal the pretty bark of a previously hidden tree.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in Hanover ward, Martin, Tabitha & Lydia did a fine job of painting over some more wall scribbling.
Once the good was done we headed to the Level for tonight’s fitness session featuring 6 fantastic varieties of squats. Your thighs must have been burning as you completed a total of 90+ squats interspersed with sprints. Fantastic effort all round!
And did I make you do all those squats just so I could fit the fitness session to a pun I had previously thought of? You bet I did!! And watch out because I have a plank related pun up my sleeve too!
