Due to a last minute cancellation, Tom had to come up with an impromptu task for this evening's run. To be fir to him, he came up with a great one, collecting discarded Christmas trees to take to Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park for recycling. Yule hedge end Tom, it was one of the funnest runs we've evergreen on. We split into two groups and branched off in separate directions, picking trees up from pre-scouted locations. We got some interesting looks as we transported the conifers to the cemetery, where they'll be used to make habitats for animals. One bystander exclaimed 'Oh, a tree in motion!' as he twigged what we were doing. Needleless to say, the trees were a little lighter by the time they got there, but they still really spruced the place up. While the run had been fairly energy sapping, this was no resin to slack as we headed back along the canal. We got back to the hotel where we had a stretching session to avoid aches and pines tomorrow.
