Can I kick it?
3 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Camden.
- Thursday, 11th of February 2016
Thursday night was demolition night in Camden with a double loft bed that had overstayed it's welcome and had to go. We started off trying to be methodical and take it apart piece by piece using our trusty allen keys to remove some of the world's longest screws. After we'd said to ourselves 'I've taken out all the screws, how can this not be coming apart' far too many times it became clear that other tactics may be required.
It was at this point that Dennis came up with an ingenious plan - giving it a good kicking. Although he admitted to begin with that it felt wrong, he soon got used to the idea and by the end with just the last two sections to be separated he could be heard saying 'I'm always up for kicking'.
With the bed in several pieces all that was left was for us to get it all downstairs and out for collection later that evening and to say our goodbyes to a very grateful Ms D and her mum.
