Amy, Sheila and Amanda joined Zsofia and Mirjam for the walk to Thrift Wood to plant trees to create a woodland that will be active 300 years from now.
After some artful shovel carrying, the group got to work. Amy introduced Amanda to the art of tree planting whilst the rest of the team got straight to work. Sheila carefully separated the bunch of saplings and Zsofia and Mirjam got straight to work creating new homes for the tiny trees.
Amanda managed to lose her newly planted tree in the wood leading to a few panicked minutes of searching amongst the sticks. Tree found, it was safely secured with a cane and wrapped with a shield to protect it from the mice and the weather.
This was a great task - outdoors, creating a gorgeous space for future generations.
