Three weeks ago, Ady and I had helped the lovely Mrs S created a memorial garden for her late mother. Unfortunately there wasn't enough decorative stones to cover the garden at that visit. At the time we'd suggested Mrs S could buy some more stones and see if another mission could be arranged to finish off the garden. Both Ady and I had loved working so much with Mrs S on her garden, that we both immediately signed up to the mission as soon as it was listed.

Our task today was easier in that we knew already what needed to be done. We had a lovely catch up with Mrs S and then got to work fetching the heavy bags of stones from the garage and carting them to the garden using mobility aids. We covered the garden, trimmed the membrane and made sure both Mrs S and Choocher (one of her cats) were both happy. Then the green-fingered Ady gave Mrs S some advice on long term looking after the garden and just before we went she asked us to do a little bit of bramble removal in the back as they were starting to get tangled around a beautiful flowering plant that Mrs. S had planted also in memory of her mother.

With said a fond farewell and left Mrs S to enjoy her garden. She often leads an active life with clubbing and dancing but a recent operation meant she's currently far less mobile so she appreciated all the more having the garden as she felt it really would help her mental health at this time that she's less able to get out and about.
