Report written by Liz Pharoah
Today took us over 600 Good deeds done by GoodGym Coventry runners!!! As 13 GoodGym Coventry members ran 9km to support Carriers of Hope with their Christmas preparations.
During the day, they had helpers preparing bags of gifts for families so the gifts needed storing away and stock moving back around the warehouse, luckily we were on hand to do all the moving in record time. Human chains were formed as boxes and crates moved locations swiftly and into the correct locations. We even had time to move new donations too! Turns out, not many donations are received for men, so if you have any spare items as gifts or for day to day wear, I'm sure they would be gratefully received.
GoodGym rocks, kindly painted by Deb were hidden on the way out and were gone by the time we returned!
As it was such a long way, the faster runners kept themselves warm with tricep dips, squats and lunges.
We stopped on the way back to admire the preparations for the big Christmas light switch on!
See you next week, with high-vis and torches for the canal! Liz x

I have severe light envy! Well done for breaking the big 600 tonight, folks! Hoping to be fit for some canal action next week.
