Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Nicola Marshall
Tonight was a very special night as we were celebrating Nigel gaining his Goodgym wings on his 100th task!! 100 deeds Nigel, absolutely amazing, well done! We’re all super proud of you and all that you do for our local community. You are such an important part of Goodgym and our Wednesday evening's just wouldn’t be the same without you!!!
Tonight we paid a visit to the allotment at the Wishing Well. It’s been a while since we were there, so it was good to be back and probably good that we went as sadly, summer is coming to an end and we won’t be able to get there quite as often once the darker nights descend!!
We started our evening with a brief warm-up before heading out for our run. It was still quite muggy and warm tonight, so it felt like quite an effort (well it did for me anyway! Lol!). We clocked up a respectable 2.5K on a circular route around town.
Back at the allotment, we set to work tidying up. Maurice & Nigel mowed the lawns, Emily tidied up the beds, Karen & Nicola weeded the path and Emily harvested the smallest parsnip ever! The lawns, beds and paths were looking much tidier and much more loved once we'd worked a little Goodgym magic.
We concluded our evening celebrating Nigel’s 100 deeds down at Hops Bar with a cheeky drink and Colin the Caterpillar cupcakes…. Yum. Looking forward to when Emily reaches her 100 in a few weeks and we have a good excuse to eat more cake!
Well done everyone. Great work as always and loved being with you all and catching up!
Have a great week!
Lots of love as always, Nicola xxx
