Cherries on a plate

Or to be more precise, one cherry tomato on a plate. This is Mrs D's story this week. βΊοΈ As usual on a Saturday morning, I went to pay Mrs D a GG social visit. She was very much herself, a little bit disappointed with the most recent conversation with the doctor over the phone. She was told she had to watch what she was eating, as blood pressure was not good. She recons that she'll have to make do with salads and fresh air from now on!... No more fish and chips for sure. Anyway, that aside, she moved on to telling me more of her stories. This one is from the time she was working for a school and they had a celebration party with food and drinks one evening. The food was already laid out but they were not allowed to help themselves just yet. Mrs D had to have something to eat, due to her diabetes, so she helped herself to a cherry tomato on a plate. She then proceeded to unsuccessfully chasing it around on the plate with the fork, until the tomato somehow ended on the floor... She then decided to go under the table to retrieve it, but ended up banging her head against the table! Ouch! That's when she knew what seeing stars was like! Very unfortunate choice of food, that she hasn't forgotten about still, when she felt all those people's eyes on her! I'm sure we've all been there! π
