When we got the call from Transition Ilford asking us to assist with moving some wood chip we didn't think we could help but the last minute cancellation of the GGR "Tour De Waltham Forest" training session meant that James was suddenly free and Linda didn't mind a "Tour De Gants Hill" so off we cycled to Valentines Park.

On arrival we were shown that we needed to pull the logs out from within the wood chip pile and use them to create edges to a new path, lay cardboard down as a base for the path and then move the wood chip to make the path. It was a lot of work, luckily there were a few members of the community there as well as the task owner Rakesh and we were soon working together as one team.

The path was looking good in the end but its barely made a dent in the chipping pile. A repeat mission may be required.
