Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Paul Widdowfield
After ringing to check Ms L was in and expecting us, and notifying Paul, Christine ran to her first mission! Near the location Christine recognised Paul from his red Goodgym t-shirt. This was Paul's second time helping Ms L so he rang the door bell and was the first to greet Ms L, who recognised him.
The first task was to help Ms L find the Russia Today channel on her TV. Paul searched for a few minutes and initially thought it was blocked but then found it at channel 234; an interesting find for us all!
During the mission Ms L revealed several highlights from her life, all truly inspirational, she'd supported women, coached disabled children, been a negotiator, and shared fantastic photographs of her family. Ms L has known from a young age that she needs to exercise a lot and doesn't sit for more than 30 minutes at a time, and has a circuit to move around her house; she is a role model.
The mission was to lift a suitcase on top of a cupboard. On the ground floor Christine retrieved the small sturdy step ladder then, with Paul, climbed the steep staircase to the second floor. Paul moved some curtains from one built-in cupboard to the next, then Christine lifted the suitcase on to the top shelf in the space vacated by the curtains. The step ladder was placed back in its place and Paul and Christine thanked Ms L for sharing so many exciting stories.
Thanks Christine for the write up!
