Christmases past and π
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Windsor and Maidenhead.
- Saturday, 17th of December 2022
This was my last visit to Mrs D before Christmas, so naturally all conversation was about all things Christmasy. She had a bunch of presents that took up most of her sitting furniture but I managed to squeeze myself into a comfortable chair.
With a few children, more grandchildren and some great-grandchildren, Mrs D has a long shopping list! She's also a very gracious lady as obvious from her bagful of gifts for the staff at the Lady Elizabeth house where she goes every week for some socialising.
She told me about Christmastime of her childhood and how it changed over the many years to when she had to buy gifts for her young children. What is Christmas without a trip down the memory lane? I quite enjoyed her reminiscing.
