I attended a GoodGym mission at lunch to help out Mr. S and after dropping his groceries, he mentioned he had a food box from the council that he didn't want. I kindly offered to take it off his hands and deliver it to a local food bank.
I waited until after work to get my flat mate, Steve, involved and to ensure he gets out of the house for a leisurely work. We walked 15 minutes to Friern Road, where the St. Clement with St Peter have a collection cage at their front gate. We delivered the jars, cans of food as well as packs of cereal and rice.
Hopefully, this food will go to a home that actually wants and needs it.
