Sol joined Karen and Sue at the Spital Cemetery in Windsor to walk around to pick up any litter and cut any brambles or ivy growth. Local volunteer Sue continue don her "mission" to cut off a large block of ivy roots that had grown round one the stones for decades. She showed a photo with Sheila at the start of the project. I cut off new-growth ivy from the grave stone; I then found a Cedar Tree that needed to cut brambles off. Later I found a big yew tree that had ivy growing up to the top branches. I cut all the small roots with secateurs and borrowed a hand-saw from Sue to cut off the larger roots at the bottom. Will check in a month time to see if ivy is dropping off. It was 12 o'clock soon enough and it was time to finish the task. We said good byes and enquired about the future sessions. Great morning exercise and was ready for a lunch in Windsor!
