It was a pleasure to help Miss R this afternoon as health issues have prevented her from looking after her garden and has led to opportunistic rogues badgering her to part with lots of money to get her overgrown hedge cut back.
As a result, whist her back garden could do with some TLC, we agreed that tackling the front hedge would hopefully stop the nuisance visitors and make her feel less vulnerable.
In just over 90 minutes, I was able to make the hedge look reasonably under control and remove the climbing plants growing up her walls and over her upstairs windows.
It was heartening to learn that a 13 year old neighbour would help her to get rid of the huge amount of cuttings that I had produced.
Hopefully a follow up task to make a start on the back garden will be forthcoming 😊
