It was quick one at The Hub today and a perfect way to spend a lunchtime. Cookie led the force with his prompt arrival and blitzed his way through sorting the clothes donated to help support families with limited access to clothing and funds in the local area. There were a vast array of boxes containing a mixture of clothing of all shapes and sizes. Cookie managed to sort through them all (!!!!), carefully checking their condition and then folding them ready to be chosen and worn by their new owners. Beth and Amy arrived a little later (sorry Cookie) and helped finish off sorting and folding the baby clothing box. Once finished, Cookie was waved off and Amy and Beth stayed a little while longer to sort through the tins and other dried goods donated to the White City branch of Hammersmith and Fulham food bank. Anything with the date 2021 was bought to the front or thrown away (depending on the expiry date) so to make sure as little food is wasted as possible. Although a quick one, the task was fab and we managed to get loads done! We'll be back again soon no doubt, but until then the clothes and food remain organised and ready to help those in need.
