Ruth, Anne and I met at Mr and Mrs L's to clear the garden. We were joined by a surprise guest - Will from GG Tower Hamlets, who was visiting his coach - also Mr L!

Ruth and I were completing a double task Saturday, both gardening missions, so we were pleased with the sunny weather in East London.

It was amazing how overgrown the garden was, so we got to work. I had actually visited to clear the garden around 18 months ago, and it was much more work this time! We were grateful for 20 mins help from Will who added an extra pair of hands in the garden.

The main issue was vines - they were everywhere. Wrapped around bushes, walls, fences, garden furniture, brooms, railings. When we tugged on them it turned out they were all connected, a huge wiry mess. We got stuck in though and found with about an hour's work (Will left after 20 mins or so, his job done for the day!) we had cleared lots of space and hopefully allowed some of the actual plants some space to flower.

All in all we filled 6 garden bags to the brim - amazing given it's such a small garden. A good job done!
