Copper Job (Sponsored by Irn Bru)
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Bristol.
- Sunday, 15th of October 2017
Charlie and I arrived at Mr R's with some degree of trepidation as we had heard the garden was very overgrown, so it was a nice surprise to find we just had a bit of longish grass to contend with.
Mr R supplied us with a flymo and some shears and we quickly got to work. I worked on progressively increasing the gradings with the mower as the lawn enjoyed an overdue hair cut. Of course we found a few 'treasures' buried in the grass - a shaver, a glove (thats where the other one went) and a length of copper pipe.
All the while, Charlie concentrated on the edging, expertly using the shears to get a neat finish.
With a short break for an Irn Bru supplied by Mr R it was mission accomplished after just an hour and a half
