Another Friday at ESK, but not the ordinary community missions this week as it the Special Christmas Party. Jacquie was early and in the kitchen. Steph Ducat joined the kitchen crew. Jp was assigned o the food parcel duties. The crypt had a makeover as the whole area was decorated for an awesome Xmas party with the usual items happening but also with festive music and speacial lunch menu. A lot of prep in the kitchen, in fact in both kitchens as not enough place in the oven for all the items. JP went from food parcel to the foyer with a passage in the serving area. Then JP had to crack on and collect christmas crackers outside as not enough for all the tables and guests. Christmas vibes in the foyer with choir and also volunteers singing xmas songs to the guests....some of the guests then started to take to mic to sing along. The kitchen was in full swing with slicing roast turkey, roasting potatoes, carrots, parsnips, yorkshire puddings, brussels sprouts, cranberry sauce, stuffing and a lovely gravy. Not to forget a soup and a dessert to top up the lunch.
