11 Runners ran 7km to help Crop Drop set up their new offices.

First to arrive this week was honorary GGH Hero Marco, who'd run for us at the GoodGym Olympics last weekend. Give that man a cheer! There was a bit of scramble for old pound coins for the locker, as the 12 sided ones become more common, but we got everything locked up, and headed out into the sunshine for some high knees, dynamic stretches, and warnings about "lift from knees" before heading off.

Passing through Downhills Park and Lordship Park got described by newcomer Emily as "the scenic route", as the lowering sun showed everything in a good light.

This isn't the first time we've helped Crop Drop set up offices, but it was the busiest! The previous occupiers had left behind a lot of heavy furniture that needed clearing, then shifting. Given that it's one one of the longer runs we do, we only had half an hour, and it's amazing what a group of determined people can do under pressure. We shifted every one of those old cupboard, tables, and filing cabinets!

On the return run we discussed the importance of landing with your feet under your body. Otherwise you can have have a braking effect, which reduces running efficiency and is more jarring to the knees. Dashing Dave periodically sprinted ahead to try and get some slow motion video to check, and the results can be see above. I couldn't see any heal strikes, but definitely some reaching forward there.

Next week two tasks to run to painting or weeding, followed by our monthly social, this time Everybody wants a pizza the action!
