Find out about GoodGym TaskForce

Share the love

It was Lambeth's last bid for victory for the most Good deeds done in January and I think you might have just helped us nail it... hopefully.

It was just as well there was a decent turn out as there were two tasks to be completed.

The first task meant a small group took on the long run down to Portico again ... This meant covering a good 5 miles in total and a nice bit of hill action on the way there. John at the big yellow storage a hundred meters from the gallery, the. Runners had to bring tables back to the Portico... So add in an upper body work out to go with the 5 miles and hill. Phew.

Group two still went quite far though as they headed two miles down to Palace Road Nature gardens where Gerry met them for what was described as some excellent tasks involving pick axes, logs and stuff around he curb of the garden... sounds most excellent... Here's Tom's report from Portico....

"Last night a band of 8 goodgymers pegged it down to West Norwood to meet the main man John for some more garage shenanigans. We raced there super quick to ensure we had enough time to complete the task however we were so quick we got there just before John, good running team.

The task this week could be summed up nicely by the famous spaghetti western film, the good, the bad and the ugly. As we had to get a load of tables out of the lock up and then take them off there stands and separate them into three groups, good ones, broken (bad) ones and dirty (ugly) ones (you get my drift....sorry). We all mucked in and it was cracking team work by all to get the job in done on time. All in all I reckon we shifted and assessed around 80 tables and if that was left to John to do I reckon he would still be there, so well done all.

Afterwards we were rewarded to a nice downhill run back to HQ, great stuff guys we were a crack team!!"

We also got to celebrate the magnificent Tom Benson completing 100 good deeds for GoodGym... what a hero. Well done Tom

Don't forget to log your strava miles so that we can use your miles in the Lambeth bid for victory this month.

See you next week x
