Cutbacks and chopper-tune-ities
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Bristol.
- Saturday, 2nd of September 2017
A lovely sunny afternoon with sounds of music flowing down from the Downs festival just up the road (Soul II Soul were doing their thing as we worked).
Ms R greeted Richard and myself and provided us with shears and loppers to attack the front garden of the block of flats where she lived. She explained that she used to keep the garden tidy herself on behalf of the residents but this has become more difficult for her.
While Richard lopped hedges and bushes and I sheared at weeds and smaller bushes, Ms R chatted with us whilst directing us at the same time, in terms of what to chop and what needed to stay.
An hour later, after sweeping up the waste and filling the bin provided, the garden area was looking nice and tidy and we were on our way again.
Lovely!
